My name is Emily & I'm 23. I live in WI, but plan on moving to CA in the Summer. I was born in Santa Clara, but moved to WI when I was 6. I absolutely love CA & don't consider myself a Wisconsinite. I still visit at least once a year & hate going back to WI. Now that I'm in my early 20s & single, I think it would be the perfect time to jump at that opportunity!
I am a preschool teacher with an AA degree in Early Childhood, so I would like to stay in that profession & maybe do modeling/voice lessons/music blogging on the side.
I have spent months looking at pros & cons of both NorCal & SoCal & I can't choose between them. I like NorCal because it reminds me of home. I have more family there & I love the change in seasons & the laid-back feel. However, I like SoCal because the beaches are perfect, the weather is warmer, & it seems like there is more to do, like Coachellaaa and other festivals
For NorCal, I was looking at the SF Bay area... San Jose, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Mountain View, & Campbell
For SoCal, I was looking at the LA area... Sherman Oaks, Santa Clarita, San Fernando, & Long Beach.
I chose those cities because of the schools that I found, but I still don't know what to do.
Also, I have a few potential roommates lined up in the SF Bay area & the LA area. However, I'm wondering if I should just live with my gma in San Jose for a few months so I can get used to living out there.
By the way, my budget is $500-$800 for rent per person.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
