anybody ever heard the song damned for all time, by corrosion of conformity?
the singer sound remarkably like the singer of kyuss, and the sound is similar too.
but I don't know any of the rest of their catalogue.

All of COC's stuff is similar to Kyuss along with Crowbar who sounds like them once and awhile too. I think they're all pretty good but Kyuss does it the best no doubt about it.

I've been listening for about 20 minutes now and CoC is up there.
with fu manchu trailing off in the dust somewhere. speaking of fu manchu... where the hell did they go? not that I miss them or anything

I got rid of all my old COC albums just kept eye for an eye and the live album no need for anything else if you ask me.

Can anyone suggest some good bands along these same lines? What do they call it nowadays? SLudge? Stoner Rock? Too many sub genres

I think you meant to say that Kyuss sounds like CoC, since CoC has been around since before John even knew he wanted to grow up to be Ian Astbury.
