amy, this MUST happen.
shpongle in the sahara tent is something that I have to experience in my lifetime. it has to happen. it just fucking HAS to.
the sahara tent is the clearest, loudest EDM-tuned sound system I've ever heard.
I would give anything to see even just simon posford. the man doesn't just mix shpongle tracks. he uses a whole 24 track console on stage. effortlessley.
he's just so damn brilliant, and the three shpongle albums are some of the most deeply psychedelic music ever composed.
I know I've posted this video in this thread already, but I still have like five more times before I hit the repetition of that live royksopp video (which I love, BTW)
anyways:
divine moments of truth, from a little thing in japan- the only time they're attempted a 'live' show.
the first time I heard of Shpongle was in this thread. Now I'm a fan, totally love their stuff.
I want them in 09 as well.
thanks for the exposure
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.
you are very welcome
I can't wait to hear the 4th album (due out sometime between now and next coachella)
That would be sick.
oh!!
I know who needs to be on this list!
1200 micrograms *drool*
1200 mics into hallucinogen into full blown shpongle=my transition to the next dimension
Any of the following will make me happy:
Royksopp
The Knife
Trentmoller
Presets
Vitalic
Deadmou5
07, 08, 09, 10, 12.1, 13.1
twelve.
hundred.
micrograms.
Yes Trentmoeller and Vitalic for sure!!!
beautiful thought progression!
I'm so happy to see a continuing evolution regarding Shpongle! It used to be whenever I brought them up, I would always be met with, "what the fuck are you talking about?"
or I would mention Twisted Records UK(Simon Posford's label), and people would think I was endorsing something ICP related...sickening!
'99-'11...
I HATE the fact that ICP has any connection to the word twisted.
I have exactly that same problem.
pleasepleaseplease goldenvoice.
please bring twisted records.
they share your unwavering respect and appreciation for perfect sound.
they deserve to play with the power of the sahara.
i've been listening to Shpongle for the past couple months now, and I am really getting into it. I think these guys would be awesome at coachella.
my fav Shpongle tune has to be this:
other names I want to see in the sahara:
Groove Armada
Future Sound of London
Royksopp
2 Many DJs
Adam Freeland (had he played before Aphex on Friday instead of Diplo, him to Aphex to Pendulum live to Fatboy would have been the best 5 hours of my life.)
Felix da Houscat
The Crystal Method (only live tho)
/\ I always have trouble deciding on a favorite, but yours is a worthy choice!
