    Hey all,
noob here. Been goin to fetivals for years but never been to Coachella before. We've just booked our flights over from Dublin and are arriving on wednesay afternoon the 25th at about lunch time.
Would we be better off stayin in LA on wednesday night and drivin to the campsite on thursday or would we be better off headin to Indio and stayin there wednesday night...
also would monday night in LA be quiet or would we find a party before we head home tuesday?

oh and thanks for any answers in advance

Theres always something to do in LA. Lots of Coachella acts play the LA area right after Coachella maybe you can catch a band on Mon night in LA. Or you could just do the tourist thing.

The Motel 6 in Hollywood is cheap and the rooms are nice. Its right in the middle of everything. There are tons of concert venues and clubs just one block away on Hollywood blvd. Below is a link to the Motel 6 Hollywood website.

I just checked the availabilty of the Motel 6 on the 25th and there are rooms for $65 a night. Thats pretty cheap. Hollywood is a 2 hr drive to Coachella depending on the traffic. If you leave after you check out on the 26 traffic should be fine and you can make it to the campground in less than 2 hrs.

At John Corbett's hidden spot on Sunset Boulevard, there are soft leather couches, white shag carpeting, touches of glossy dark wood and an entire wall that opens up to a sunken patio with fireplaces. I land at 7.30pm, but with the timezone it will be 3.30am UK time.

I'll be dead after the 18 hours of travelling, I've got my hotel booked in palm springs for 1 night before I make my way to indio the next day.

You really dont want to do this (not a safe area) even if the police let you stay. Book a cheap Hotel near Manhatten Beach - Safer and there's stuff going on after the 8:00pm curfew at Venice!

That's actually not a bad list posted by dekr510. I like the Bigfoot Lodge on Wednesdays, although it can be a bit of a scene.

The best thing might be to pick up an LA Weekly when you arrive and read the full list of events they publish.
