I don't think Burt Blyleven belongs in the NFL HOF.
I was glad to see Bruce Matthews get in today. Thurmon Thomas I thought was borderline. But Michael Irvin? Before Art Monk. that's a travesty.
and as much as I despise the Raiders I do think Ray Guy belongs. if for no other reason that to celebrate the Raiders needing to punt. seriously I have watched NFL fb since I was 10 (so you know how long that is!!) and RG is the greatest punter I have ever seen.
I was amazed at how similar their stats are ... just that Irvin did it in a shorter span of time ...
Michael Irvin
Art Monk
I'm not overly passionate about this debate, but it seems like if one gets in, they both should be in.
Oh, and .... man, a season with the Jets for Art Monk? How have I blocked this from my memory?
... and don't get me started about Jim Rice not being in the HOF ... what do you think the "14" in my user name is for?
Jim Rice is from South Carolina just like me. Pedro Guerreo was my favorite Dodger in the 80's. When they traded him in 88 I was crushed. Of course I felt alot better by Oct 88.
its been 18 years of suffering since then though but we are gonna win it this year
24 day until spring training game 1 for the dodgers
Its seriously wack that a class-act like Monk keeps getting denied for the HOF year after year. Since i'm a Canton native i'll be sure to keep it real and throw a bag of white powder at his car in the parade. He'll probably need a line after all the excitement of enshrinement anyway![]()
