She added the phrase "meany head" to my profile.I hardly think I'm an attention whore.
I loved everything about it. Please don't change a thing, other than the bands...meaning, dont have the exact same line up as last year. More laser beams would be cool.
: /
Thanks for everything!!!!!!!!!!!!
Came from: Costa Mesa, CA.
Loved the fact it was a low attendance year. All that room made a big difference navigating around the polo field and beer garden.
NYC here. c u at APW.
Blah...Blah...Blah...
i loved the dome. oh wait, it wasnt there this year.
really though...
low attendance
water at the do lab
naco was back (wish there were more vendors)
is it me, or were there more beer gardens? more or not, i loved how it felt like there were more.
the fact that saturdays line up is always out of fucking control.
The vibe of the festival is amazing. Really chill. The art was also really cool, Big Rig being the standout for me. But what I love most is the musical diversity of the festival. I can begin the day by listening to some alternative rock, then go to some hip hop and finisht the night dancing my ass off at the Sahara! Just wonderful. And the spotlights where incredible at night.
Came from San Salvador, El Salvador.
I really liked the lobby area it was cool. Spicy Pie I loved!
I'm from Calgary, Alberta. Canada
the bigger production for some of the headliners for sure.
The diversity of acts and one offs are always great (where else did you find Portishead, Aphex Twin, Prince AND Roger Waters?)
The food is always good.
The sound was better this year.
Longer sets for Headliners (Amy reminded me)
Denver, CO via Frederick, CO
lobby area
lots of lockers
room to move at the festival
air conditioned bathrooms........I REALLY loved those

I loved the lax security. I also really dug all the spotlights around the perimeter at night shining up into the sky. That was really really cool.
First time to Coachella this past year and I'm totally sold. I'll be coming back every year.
Came from: Santa Monica, CA
U MAD?
THE SPOT LIGHTS. srsly the best.
allowing one water bottle in.
thats all I can think of for now.
RAPE STOVE
white power?!
This being my first time and my first music festival ever I have nothing to compare it to but I have to say I loved everything. I liked how organized everything seemed which has to be a huge undertaking getting everything set up and arranged. I have a bit of clausterphobia in crowds and was nervous that I would get a bit panicky but that did not happen at all so I guess what I loved the most is the way everything was just spread out and so open.
I came from Phoenix Arizona
The Dome was missed, but I like how the whole thing is set up, each person in the festival has a different experience, six stages, multiple bands at once playing, this year was less crowed than '07, Do Lab going off with those water cannons, lasers in the sahara, the weather this year was nice, *camping is a must* (fuck the whiners saying it's too hot), Empire Polo Grounds, and just the best concert you will ever go to.
Been to may festivals and Coachella had me sold in '07 when I got to the Campground, and the show hadn't even started yet.
Came from San Jose, California
Loved:
-all the exclusive/rare acts like Prince, Portishead, Waters, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, etc
-artwork
-great food
-recycling
-the toilets in VIP
-much more manageable crowds
-all the misting fans
-the super-cold AT&T blue room
-Sunday's overcast
-train to Coachella and back
-train had dj
-train had free ice cream
-free shirts for trainchella kids
-FREE FUCKING VIP for Trainchella kids
-said train was fucking free
Hated:
-Portishead was wayyy too short. They deserved at least 70 minutes, since that's what the Verve got and it's the first and last time any of us will ever get to see them.
+ Sequenced spot lights. Very cool addition!
+ $2 Water gets a little more awesome every year.
+ The food is still fantastic.
+ The crowd size! Soooo wonderful! I hope you still made money...
+ Relaxed security - seems they were looking for weapons instead of weed, which was really nice. Much faster getting in!
+ Environmentalism; keep up the good work!
- Missed the tent projections (the eyes from '06 in particular were sweeeet)
- Too much sound bleed from the Do Lab at the outdoor theatre, and at the Mohave (poor Spiritualized - please no more accoustic acts in the tents!).
- All the flier guys outside - seriously, drive them off with tear gas or something.
- The free cigarette tent. My smoking friend would disagree, but seriously; so not cool.
I'm from Calgary, Alberta too (there's a disproportionate # of us, don't you think?)

I think the vibe of the whole thing is what I loved.
I'm another disproprotionate person from Calgary.
Another amazing year at Coachella!
Loved the smaller crowds - everything seemed cleaner, more organized, and it was way easier to get around.
Loved the $2 water bottles - thanks for not inflating the price! Also loved being able to bring in my own water bottles so I could spend more money on merch, less on hydration. And the 10 for 1 recycling - possibly one of the best ideas ever!
Always love the food - especially the Spicy Pie and the Sweat Leaf veggie food.
The spotlights are magical.
And I didn't use the train this year, but my friends did, and I am totally for it next year - even if there are no VIP wristbands - please bring it back!
Thanks for making the last weekend in April the best weekend of the year!
And my group came from Santa Cruz, Monterey, Santa Maria, and Bakersfield, CA
the sound system always impresses me. at all stages. and the sound crew as well...
the spotlights "dancing" around was really cool.
the coordination of staff and security. everything always works so smoothly.
the "semi-silent" coachella for headliners - the tents kept runnin, but thanx for shutting down the outdoor stage to minimize bleed over from the outdoor sound into the headliner's sets.

The Do Lab misters & the misters near the entrance.
Keeping the camp grounds clean
Security walking around
ATMs with money
Cold water
Shaved ice
Free parking
The ratio of the crowd to the polo field.

came in from Boston, this was my 7th Coachella.
I really love just about all of Coachella from year to year. But if you mean *specific* stuff from 08 then let's see... I loved:
* the extra production values for the headliners. Shallow, I know, but I liked it! It adds to that "you only see it at Coachella" feel. Not just the Roger Waters theatrics.... even things like the video for Portishead were amazing.
* I really liked most of the art this year. I think the art is one thing that really sets Coachella apart from most of the other festivals. I also think this year alot of the art really came into it's own when the sun went down (like the copper/bronze canopy thing), compared to some prior years where the art would kind of disappear when it got dark.
* the spotlights this year were NUTS
* most of the lineup was pretty unique, and hadn't played Coachella last year and weren't playing other festivals this year. Sure, there's overlap, but I think the lineup overall is the most "unique" in this crazy crowded festival summer.
* how when the show was over you could actually get in and out of the venue and out to the parking lots pretty quick. None of that "trapped in a sea of unmoving bodies" bottleneck action like in years past.
* that some of the earliest acts each day (Yoav, The Bird and the Bee) could wow me just as much as the heavy hitters high up on the poster.
D-here's some more input...

I loved the crowd size. thanks Jack Johnson.
I liked the schedule this year. Some conflicts, obviously, but it wasnt a Portishead vs Kraftwerk or something like that.
Loved the weather. I think it was cooler this year.
I think there were more water vendors this year? I didn't see long lines all the time to buy water like previous years.
Coachella will always be loved for those exclusive acts. Thanks so much for bringing Aphex, Prince, Swervedriver and Portishead in the same weekend.
i loved the fact that you guys got Prince, it showed that you listen and care and if you guys really wanna shoot for the stars, we'll have bowie and outkast next year

I loved the spotlights, they blew my mind.
I loved the artwork.
I loved the whole vibe with fewer people than last year.
I loved how I hardly had to wait in line for anything (bathroom, water, food, whatever) this year.
I loved Saturday's lineup, thank you so much, especially for Portishead!
