Outside Lands or Lolla? If you had to choose.
Outside Lands or Lolla? If you had to choose.
Well, I am choosing Lolla...
U MAD?
well if they were both close to me i would pick lolla. but i am from nor cal and its alot easier and affordable to go to outside lands. plus i feel the need to represent since i want this festival here for years to come and im loving the fri and sat lineups and know how amazing sf is in the summer so im there. but lolla has a great lineup. i can only afford one destination festival...
outside...it's in my backyard...
outside lands, duh. better, smaller lineup in a nicer place that won't cost me $500 to get there and back, a few bills for a hotel and food.
san fran is good because i'm taking a train up there with my bike and a backpack. probably sleep on steiner and haight or wherever that cute little park is.
lolla cause I'm going...
Coachella 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11Lollapalooza 95, 96, 97, 03, 08
Rock The Bells 07, 09, 10
Sasquatch 10
Bonnaroo 09
Vegoose 07, RIP
Mile High 09
Upcoming Shows
6/9 - Deftones/Dillenger | 6/10 - Cake | 6/17 - Buckethead | 6/28 - Glitch Mob | 7/25 - APC | 7/30 - LA Rising (Rage, Muse, Lauryn Hill, Rise Against) | 8/12 - Cut//Copy
I am going to Outside Lands, but I feel a little let down by the line up so far. We will see how the adds go....this will be my third major event at the GG Park, Tibetan Freedom Concert (no comparison), Dave Matthews free show (w/ Z-Trip and Santana) and now OSL. I have also been to a few of the smaller free shows in the park as well. The GG Park is awesome and I am sure that I will have fun no matter how disappointing the adds may be.

Right on, Outside Lands .I live in San D so I could drive to San Fran but where is a good affordable place to stay? It's a bummer there is no camping , thats actually one of my favorite things about Coachella.I know probably sounds crazy it being so hot & all but it's part of the whole experience, I think . I have a friend in Chicago I actually met at Coachella this year & he said we could crash at his place but I would have to fly there. Both sound pretty rad so just wanted to get some feedback especially since Coachella has the best crowd.![]()
^ I'm sure you won't be disappointed by SF's crowd, the bands never are.

U MAD?
I'm going to Outside Lands cuz it's closer
Outside Lands. All 3 days.
I think the Lolla lineup kills Outside Lands....but, since I'm in Cali, Outside Lands it is
'99-'11...
if money was not an issue (and it sounds like you are trying to minimize your costs), I would be at Lolla in a second. that line-up is insane. though that likely means the conflict of choosing one set over another will also be insane. regardless, Lolla was the first music festival I ever experienced (went to the Irvine Meadows show where Jane's Addiction, NIN, Ice T & Body Count, Souixsie, Living Colour, and Henry Rollins played) and would like to experience Lolla again. On the other hand, since I live in SF and can sleep in my own bed each night, Outside Lands it is. Like other people mentioned, GG Park is a great place to take in live music. Enjoy!
'Lolla... I can actually drive there being from Minneapolis. It's a kiler lineup, and I'm saying that know it's prety much totaly devoid of any electonic act.
If y'all fresh to death, then I'm deceased... -Kanye West
Jamiroquai 2014 please.
Lolla for me. I would like to go to Outside Lands but 3 festivals this year is plenty great.
Lolla is also in the heart of the greatest city in the world. I'm biased though.
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Coachella: 4/11-13 @ Empire Polo Fields
Lolla all the way, it's such a great complementary lineup to Coachella.
