    Default Gaming Tent

Was no one feeling the Gaming Tent? It was great watching people use the Singstar Games in the corner with the headphones because they would be singing all loud and bad but they didn't realize it. I got up and rocked out Bloc Party's "Banquet" and scored a "Lead Singer" score. Pretty shitty song selection but I heard from one of the workers that you can buy new videos like iTunes.

I actually got back into the "VIP" area of the Little Big Planet tent and got to play the game with one of the developers, which was pretty cool. Free air conditioning plus a chance to sit down for a few minutes? Sure, thanks!

I won the GT5 fast lap competition on sunday. The prize was a VIP pass, but since i showed up late to when they announced the winner, they gave it to the person who had the second fastest lap. The guy in charge felt bad and gave me like 15 free drink coupons instead and i think that was a better prize.

i walked in thinking it could be potentially cool in there, saw a girl singing "hit me baby one more time" karaoke style, recorded about 10 seconds of video of miss waythefuckoutofplace and then got the hell out of there

no, it was from participating in the Singstar karaoke competitions. i did the ones at 1pm when there was very little competition.

i kinda sucked at the wheel for GT5P. give me a controller and i'm fine.

GPS-that would make a great banner. thanks for being my gateway to other board member meetings/sightings.

No tent is a true gaming tent without Dance Dance Revolution.

You mean to tell me that at a music festival there wasn't any Rock Band or Guitar Hero action going on in that gaming tent?

I never went in there. Never had time to.

We wandered in but thought it was pretty lame. But that was probably the drugs. People were looking at us.

I got a ride to the bus stop on Monday from the guy who ran the Little Big Planet tent. He told me that Sunday night someone actually stole a PS3 debug unit (if you game, you know how serious this is), so they were pretty much freaking out and had called the police, etc.

I'm not actually sure why in the world they BROUGHT a debug unit- it seems like a poor risk to take. I guess I might have a better idea if I had gone in the Little Big Planet tent at all. Oh well.

Well, it was to promote the new Singstar Karaoke game. Basically Guitar Hero for singing. I'm not sure what Gran Turismo has to do with anything Coachella but I figure they just threw it in there with the Singstar being the main spectacle. I really wish I would've known about these 1p Competitions. I woulda killed it for some VIP passes (even though VIP was pretty wack from what I saw on Friday night)

I went in once on Saturday. I wasn't about to jump onto the karaoke game, and the steering wheel sensitivity on Turismo was up way too high, so I didn't go back.
