God! That would mess up my equilibrium. I think that would probably kick ass in October, but then late April '09 would roll around and I'd feel empty. Very empty. So I don't want late October. I wouldn't mind the 'fest being a week or 2 earlier though. It would alos accomodate most college students more, because the 'fest runs right up against finals week for a lot of students.

The polo fields are actually being used for polo up until about 2 weeks before the festival, so it really can't be any earlier.

Methinks the fest is best late April because of where the sun is located, if it were in October the sun would be too far south and would be in everyones eyes all day. esp the poor main/outdoor stage performers.

I have gone to coachella every year I have been in college.

I have never failed a class due to Coachella.

There are MANY weekends each semester in which I don't study at all. Coachella is just one of them. Many times I bring a school book to read while studying.

I'm betting on last weekend of April again...as it has been for several years. Plus, those of you that think October would have better weather obviously weren't at 99...yikes! Be thankful they switched it to April!

That said, I have been blessed to have attended 4 years and I'll make sure that I won't miss another one unless death gets in the way. If that's the case, I'll still go somehow...

I'm booking a room for the last weekend of April. Just don't book it on one of those websites that makes you pay for it upfront. That way, if you've guessed the wrong dates, you can just cancel the reservation with no penalty.
