    Default Dirty Projectors

If you haven't heard 'em, you need to. If you don't like 'em, give 'em a second chance:

This band doesn't get enough recognition. I'm bumping this because I haven't been able to stop listening to the last EP or album since they dropped.

    And they are incredible live.

They are good live. I haven't really got into any of their albums though. Their last two didn't do anything for me and I haven't heard anything before The Getty Address. I haven't listened to them in like a year. I will give them another chance.

One of the last two being the "New Attitude EP," if not, check that one out.

Yeah, I've heard it, not for like a year though and as I said before it didn't make a very good impression on me. I was talking about their last two full lengths in my post. I will definitely include it in my relistening though. The way that I heard of these guys was seeing them live. They were awesome. Their live show just didn't translate on their albums. I wish I had my hard drive at work and I could load their discography onto my ipod right now, but alas I will have to wait til I get home.

They have a track on Dark Was the Night with David Byrne. It's good stuff.

Took me a while, but I sort of like their new album....I think it's the guys voice, and how oddly arranged the music is. Really hits u strangely.

"Stillness Is the Move" is fantastic but "Two Doves" is my favorite off the album.

This is a well-timed bump for me, yesterday I just realize how fucking brilliant Bitte Orca is and how not only is it the best album I've yet heard from these guys (still finding my way through their early stuff) but it's also one of the year's best albums, I have it ranked #3 for 09 now. I sorta listened to it before... but somehow I hadn't given it my full attention. It's pretty fascinating and pretty entertaining stuff.

Point being... I really want to go to their Troubadour show now. I can't see them at Bonnaroo but I really think I should go out of my way to catch them live now...

Pitchfork gave the new album a 9.2/10, which is a fucking high score.

Pretty stoked, they really deserve it. This new album is incredible.

I've wanting to listen to Bitte Orca, but man, these guys are vigilant against piracy. I need to look for a birthday gift tomorrow, so I might pick it up at Best Buy or something.
