you didnt have to sit through anything for dead...I walked in on dimitris last song and walked right up to the front...hhaha, we were probably feet away. Did you see a talk guy with long hair taking photographs? that was my friend. I was next to him wearing aviators.

I'll respect your opinion and just disagree.

Dimitri has more class than little mr joel zimmerman anytime, anyday and if you don't see it, well that's an awful awful shame.

Class? Dimitris Yerasimos, while I do respect him for his early remixes in the 90's including some pretty damn awesome Bjork and Nina Pearsons stuff. But at Coachella 2008, he did throw backs that aged his set terribly. He did the "Can ya hear me!" samples and the beats seemed to be high in range. I felt like I was hearing music that would be playing on the speakers of the galleria. It was soft, old and boring.

But that's just me.

And while I think Joel panders a little bit for money. He still gets the job done because he gets with the times.

DFP was fun as shit, fuck you. It wasn't a mindblowing technical display or anything but that dude knows how to rock a party. Deadmaus bored the shit out of me, I mean he's a good DJ but being able to actually sing along to the shit Dimitri played was worth it and a half and it was nice to hear some funky shit in the Sahara instead of the constant UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ *breakdown* UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ UNTZ "OH FUCK ALL I CAN HEAR IS THE 1-BAR BASSLINE" shit.

James Zabiela was one of the best acts in the tent all weekend. Great energy and a huge smile. You could see him tweaking with stuff and just about burst as the music came through the speakers.
I liked how he wrote Thank You on his laptop after his set was done.
