That's a relief, I missed them. Hopefully they sucked (sorry, I'm the jealous type).
I think most left after Waters. No offense to Justice(I like their album a good deal) but how do you top that Waters show? It seemed like that was the note to end on.
I will be seeing Justice when they go on tour themselves for sure.
I've missed them four times now. Bollocks.
the tent was PACKED to the brim. They opened with Genesis again, I left after the first song because it was simply too crowded. I'll catch them later.
I planned on seeing justice, but after Roger Waters I couldn't switch gears back to justice, so I left.
Yes, thank you it was.
People who missed out on the set, missed out on the BEST way to end a night...Dancing their asses off in the Sahara. Unbelievable energy and amazing set from the duo.
Oh, I had no problem switching gears from Waters to Justice!. This years lineup ended up pacifying my classic Rock tastes as well as my fetish for the electronic/techno...Like having the best of both worlds! Not to mention Justice was closing Coachella and I wanted to catch the lst moments of a great weekend with all of you!
1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.
A Daft Punk thread containing 'nothing of substance'. How bout that.
yeah, i caught them for a few minutes...
bleh, its justice, they did an amazing job, and for those who can't appreciate waters, it was a great way to end the night...
but, roger fucking waters, with airplanes and fireworks and a pig that is going to fucking land on someone somewhere...
you simply cannot top that...

Wanted:
1. Nachos
2. Puppies
hate to admit it but they ruled
At the front of the tent, dead center, they played their same songs in a sense but remixed in a completely new way from their usual set most hear. It was awesome and they made us beg for noise we were familiar with.
I mean, even if you're not a big justice fan, you might as well see the LAST show of Coachella 08, unless you count EMT (the mobile electronic synth set)
I thought it was fuckin' tight. They for sure wrecked the house. Buuuuuuttt..... No one has yet to impress me more than Daft Punk... NO ONE!!

I'll be uploading a bunch of high quality videos of the shows I saw so you can relive some moments of the Sahara again.
AGREED!!! Since 2006, a day hasn't gone by without them! This year though, I came home with 8 discs varying from Purple Rain DVD, the new 2 disk Kraftwerk,(Since I missed them!) Bauhaus, Booka Shade, Sandra Collins, Danny Tenaglia, and Pendulum...That oughta hold me over 'til 2009...???

Alive is arguably one of the best tours ever in music, but lets not digress.
Faces were melted at Justice and everyone had a blast.
So was the rumor about a new stage setup true?
Melty.
SPRINGFIELD, MA—Representatives from Merriam-Webster grudgingly announced Tuesday that, due to the Taco Bell–coined term's recent publication in over 150 newspapers and periodicals, including Food & Wine, The Baltimore Sun, and Time, "melty" would be added to their 2008 collegiate dictionary.
"Melty, adjective: from the English 'melt'," Merriam-Webster president John Morse said in a series of words he never imagined he would ever have need to utter. "1: An edible foodstuff possessing viscous qualities; 2: See goolicious. I hereby announce my retirement."
The word "goolicious," an adjective describing something that is both melty and delicious, was also added to the English language.
oh yeah all that knob tweaking and button mashing melted my face...................
I was in the very front with one person in front of me, I had fun. I wasn't blown away or anything. They played what seemed like the same damn set from their Myspace tour minus the encore.
I was front, maybe two rows of people back dead center and while it was AMAZING, I actually think SMD was a little better in keeping their set varied and interesting. Great way to end the festival though.
i wasnt aware you could melt faces with out guitars. i guess computer have advanced alot of the last several years. do you think justice will have skynet up and running for their next face melter show?............
I didn't see Justice this year, but I saw them in LA earlier in the year and at coachella laster year, and for me its been like a downward graph. Amazing last year (first US show btw) and LA was ok. so from what I hear this was nothing special. Justice is getting the rep as the "rock stars" of electro, but if your gonna do a "rock" show for electro, its already been done and that was in 2006.
Dude, Justice was boring.. Their songs were just drawn out .. Roger Waters was epic.. Should have just left after him.

They have been playing the US for about a year and already they gained the potential, released a great album..and killed their live shows..*sigh
I looked at it this way.
Roger Waters.
My life is now complete.
Hey, I get to see Justice now. Awesome.

09/11 - Swans
10/06 - Mono
10/13 - The XX
Isn't a little akward to compare Justice with Roger old Waters just because their set was at the same time?
I like dark side of the moon, but i couldn't deal with that old rock while Justice made the best show of the whole festival.
I don't know if i'm right, but it was actually pretty better than Daft Punk itself
And I saw DP twice.
My face is melted, my ears are destroyed and my neck hurts. FUCKYEAH!
