Thanks to everyone & all the bands that made this yet another super-awesome trip down to the desert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuckin' A! See you in '09

I don't mind a complaint here and there. If something wasn't done right, then it wasn't done right, whether everything else was awesome or not.

The only thing that gets old for me is people declaring their musical opinion as gospel truth. "So and so sucks balls and you're an idiot if you enjoyed yourself!" Sorry, but that's retarded. Especially if you then brag about how close you were to the stage.

haha all that deadgrass sure did a number on resurrecting my allergies.

so was parking waaay better this year or did I just fluke out? Last year we had one 2 hour + night leaving but this year was 5 minutes tops & we never left till the last tune was sung every night. Hope y'all were so lucky.

Friday night after Fatboy Slim, lot 6 (off Monroe, closest to the venue) was at a complete standstill. We were parked further away in lot 5, and I was pissed off as people who arrived after me were being parked in the closer lot 6 while I was walking through it. But as I walked past the mass of cars sitting with their engines off at 12:30AM, I was more than happy to make the extra walk. Especially when I found that the back gate of lot 5 that I was parked next to was open.

I didn't see the same jammed lot issue on Saturday or Sunday, but I left earlier on both of those days so I don't know what it was like after Prince or Justice.

Parking seemed to move better out of the lots, but the walks to the parking lots were a lot longer - at least 30 minutes from lot to gates.

I'll walk to my car over sitting in in it wanting to fall asleep w/ a/c, comfy seats and tunes anyday. Glad you made it out okay. Sat/ Sun I was prepared for a parkfest that never happened.

Lot 5 was definitely the place to be. All three nights we made it back to the motel 4 miiles away on hwy 111 before the bicyclists in the room next door.

We were in lot 3 all weekend. An hour wait on Friday night, an hour+ wait on Saturday night, and not an issue on Sunday (thanks to having to leave early).

Same here, except Friday was the longer night for us. Left after Justice on Sunday and we were out in 5 minutes. That was unexpected.

It's a festival with 50k people, half of which are all leaving at the same time. I expect to wait. It's just one thing we have to accept to enjoy all those good times everyone is talking about.

Holy crap just wait for a bit in the parking lot. Pop open the trunk/back and relax for awhile.

That's just what we did. We would have preferred to hang at the hotel, though.

It was odd because we were in Lot 3 all of last year and never encountered any problems leaving. The streets were congested but not the grounds. It was the exact opposite this year.

haha perry wishes lollapalooza was even remotely near scratching the surface of GV's gift to mankind, aka Coachella. perry is here every year taking notes in a notebook that most likely say "hmm... well one thing i could do to make my festival better would be to.... ahh fuck it I'm a slave to sucking Paul's dick for the rest of my life. Long live coachella!"

This year the parking seemed a little more congestive...although we did park in Lot 3 all three days, Friday was our longest wait. No worries though, we made it safely back all three days to the house.

I have to concur with the fact that snobby supposed music experts who try and dictate who you shold listen to are fu#@ing tools...

    Let's see.

Things that exponentially increase the likelihood that someone will complain about something:

    1. Being human
    2. Having a forum on teh interwebs dedicated to whatever is being complained about (it is widely known that people are much more likely to go online and give a negative opinion about something than a positive one--see Yelp for more examples)
    3. ONLINE BULLETIN BOARD. I mean, srsly, isn't that what they're for? ;-)

This is all tongue-in-cheek, sort of, but, yanno, it's to be expected.
