The first 30 minutes of his set was the band playing and then Prince said " I am here." Then the band played some more, for like 10-15 minutes, and then Prince said, "Coachella!" Then Prince wanked on his born again guitar and then it was over, and I said, "Huh? Did I miss something? What happened?"

And the fact that this is the 1st Coachella I've missed in years, and while it's been nice to watch NBA playoffs and the NFL draft, I'm not exactly feeling 'complete'.

I was so psyched to see him. But then....he started 20-25 minutes late....opens up with TWO songs by Morris Day....then TWO songs (one a too looooong instrumental) by Shiela E....Then almost 1 hour after he original start time he sings a song (1999). THEN someone sings a Chaka Khan song (I feel for you).
I felt used.

I would still pay to see him again...but that was not his finest hour.

I enjoyed the hell of it but I only knew 4 songs and don't know what a Prince show is supposed to be like so none of that bothered me at all. It was only the gospel song about 80 mins in that I felt a noticeable drop in energy. I totally got a second wind and came back to life after he hit the stage.

'I Feel for You' is Prince's song, not Chaka's. It's on his second album. Chaka covered it and made it a hit, but it's still his song.

I stood up for Jungle Love which was "ok", the next song was terribly boring, the next one made me and my friends decide to bounce.

It should be noted though when I say a song is terribly boring you need to understand I was mainly at the Sahara and enjoyed those acts thoroughly and Prince just didn't have a beat hard enough for me. Another example of a band raved about by most is MGMT, they just never got the beat.
