Fuck, I remember the first time I saw this, it was just after joining the board. I would have sworn it was RotationSlimWang (At that time.) Or, TheLastGreatMan...(Present time.) Indeed, this was perfect timing!

that is HILARIOUS! i just thought it was funny that someone was that upset to make such a comment.

and in 2002, my current roommate and i went to exchange christmas gifts. i opened mein and it was the fear and loathing criterion collection. i laughed and said "just open it", cause i had gotten her the exact same thing

I love this, the bonus features are great. I really dig the commentary from hunter, even though half the time he is just yelling into the mic to fuck with us.

currently reading The Curse of Lono. One of Hunters last written works.
It could pretty much be called Fear and Loathing in Hawaii. With great art from Ralph Steadman

    worth checking

While in Vietnam, I bought a photocopied book of one of Hunter's last works. The title is lost on me at the moment. It's not great, totally all over the place but it's Hunter so it's still damn good.

It has one of my favorite Hunter S Thompson stories ever, involving jack Nicolson, an elk's heart, flood lights and weapons.

    So good.

my favourite work is his piece on the kentucky derby. my roommate is from kentucky and asked if i wanted to go during the derby next year. i said only if we could do it thompson and steadman style, LOL

his ramblings on nixon in the great shark hunt are pretty funny too.

I would rather see a Hells Angels movie instead of the Rum Diaries. Actually i want both, but i think Hell's Angeles could be great.

i agree fully. especially if they were able to work in an acid test cameo. i would love to see the part of the acid test where they do acid with the hippies and the cops just stand outside their compound in fear of dealing with angels on acid, LOL.

Exactly!! If i had the chance to do it, i would focus alot on the connections with the counter culture movement. Since Hunter was the bridge between the two groups in alot of ways. I think i am going to find my copy and re-read it when i get back.
