Security was fucking weird this year, kept changing the rules. Sunday a guy said I couldn't bring pens or markers into the festival grounds. He was a braindead young white guy. I said "why can't I bring in pens?" He said "Just the rules." I said "What are they a danger to someone? Can I talk to the manager guy?" He said "I don't care." (he really didn't, it was kinda funny). He turned away, none of the other security guards were paying attention, I just grabbed the pens, put them in my backpack, and walked in.
That pretty much summed up this year's security for me.

security way more laxed...but the thing was having a locker!!!
It was mixed. I had to empty my backpack once but other times I walked right through without anyone even asking if i had a ticket. Pointless security. I did notice it seemed like there were a lot more on hand this year even though there were far less people. And they wouldn't let me come in the far campground gate like they did last year; it was specifically an exit only now.
I brought basically the same thing each day - Frozen bottles of water, sweatshirt, towel, sunscreen, Advil bottle - and was never once asked to pull everything out of my bag. It was a search, but rudimentary at best.
I was only patted down one of the three days, and even then wasn't asked to remove my cell phone or wallet from my pockets.
The first day I walked right in and they hardly did anything but glance into my bag. The second day they took it apart completely and even opened all the zippers on my wallet (yet somehow still didn't find the pipe or weed I had wrapped up in my sweater). So it was kind of pointless. Also, my friend brought in opened water. She said the security just made her take a swig. My friend said 'What if I can just swig Vodka, what's the point of that?' and I guess security said something about it doesn't matter if you bring booze in, it's chemical warefare they are worried about. So to feel free to bring vodka the next day but she's have to swig it to show it wasn't posion or something...
Does that seem weird to anyone else?
Take this job and shove it. Adios, I'm a ghost, I am leaving for the coast and I'll never work for anyone again...
haha
Did anyone else not get their camping tickets checked. When I went to register myself in the campsite, they didnt even check my ticket. They just asked for my arm and gave me and my girlfriend the wristband. I could have saved myself 120 bucks this year.
They didn't check mine either, I shoulda' just sold em back right there.

1. Run to a nice patch of grass on the fields and lay face down.
2. Tilt your head ninety degrees with your forehead temple resting on your forearm and watch people through the vision pocket right underneath your armpit hair.
3. Do this for a few hours until you get comfortable.
