I just got off the phone with an old high school buddy of mine who lives in Central Florida, just about an hour north of Orlando, with his wife and two daughters. He was in shock. He said the tornado that went through there at 4:00 a.m. this morning was like a nuclear bomb dropping. He said his home is completely levelled, as is his horse barn. The horses are nowhere to be found. His family lost everything. The news reports sound like there's lots of people in Central Florida in the same situation as my friend and his family. Tornadoes are no fun. I've lived through a couple back in the day. My heart and thoughts go out to all who were affected by this tragedy. Let's hope FEMA gets their act together this time--not like Hurricane Katrina.
