    Default Fall Out Boy

OK, I'm sure this will be a polarizing band on this message board, but they are releasing a new album and will be touring this summer in support of it. They aren't my favorite band, but I saw them at Warped Tour in 2005 and enjoyed the experience. Anyone know their booking agent and can find out if it is a possibility?

Fall Out Boy haters unite! I'm still trying to understand the Coachella cool vs burn-a-mule criteria:

    a) Is it anti-pop music? No, witness Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Bjork as headliners.
    b) Is it a Pitchfork 7.2 or higher rating? Obviously not.
    c) Is it some arbitrary zeitgeist that sways in the wind like a flag on a windy Chicago day? Ding, ding, ding! I think I found a winner.

Sorry for insulting anyone's intelligence for mentioning a trendy pop-punk band at a Southern California music festival. What could I have been thinking?

Well - you are so very wrong. No opinion needed. They belong to most horrid piece of shit music scene ever created, and I'm including Euro-trash-country-techno in this assessment, yes, they are worse than those idiots who did Cotton-Eyed Joe.

Them, MCR, All American Rejects, Panic at the shitco, Yellowcard, Hawthorn Heights,...

They are shit, shit that's eating some shit, while taking a shit and becoming even more shit, it really is amazing. Them not fitting in with Coachella has nothing to do with "cooler scene and a holier than thou" attitude you are alluding to. Coachella trys to pick artists, not just bands. Artists with talent that have something to offer, your boys in designer eyeliner have nothing to offer, other than the uber helpful advise on where to buy expensive jeans and hair product.

One day your will realize I speak the truth, C DUB has spoken words of wisdom, he has given you pearls here, you should listen. Today's Fall Out boy were yesterday's New Kids On the Block. Get some musical taste bub, you'll thank me later, when you get into 8th grade maybe.

That's awesome; you've just named some of the leading bands for the downfall of Western civilization. They really are unoriginal, with ridiculous lyrics (for the most part). I like certain "pop" music (more like Brit-pop, i.e. Blur Modern Life era, early Oasis, etc..), but their's enters into that bullshit, MTV, 14 year-old kid loving music. It's pretty despicable.

But, I will say this...it would suck to have them at Coachella, but, if by some act of nature they did show up, it would just leave one less conflict. I would still keep my ticket and ignore the port-o-potties for 45 minutes, where they would be playing.

maybe because they're this MTV soaked pop-"punk" band and would draw the wrong kind of crowd to coachella. Fallout Boy also are not very unique. They're one of a long line of shitty pop-"punk" bands. Almost every act that does coachella, even in the dance tent, are unique in some way.

The wrong kind of crowd? Talk about a slippery slope counter point. Next thing you know, GV will have to hire door men to make sure you're the "right kind of crowd". LOL. Your last line is also a gross overstatement - GV doesn't always pick em right.

Personally, I'm more concerned about those crazy 30-something year old Bjork fans than any 14 year olds. I've heard the mosh pit can get pretty out of control during Big Time Sensuality. LOL.
My favorite band is cooler than your favorite band.

Against Me! played Warped Tour in 2005 as well. GV should pull them from the lineup immediately. C'mon, let's not get to elitist here.
