Btw the new album is about $7 cheaper through Amazon if you're in the US.

I was able to preorder within 2 minutes. Relax, people. Although, this does give me a good excuse to give my vinyl copy of MHtRtC a spin in celebration.

This. All of this. In my car right now, I use a few of these albums on my commute and was just thinking the same thing today.

    Show off.

Ordered the LP. Stoked to finally be able to afford some BoC vinyl.

Admittedly I am very new to the sounds of BoC but I took the plunge and per ordered the vinyl. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of their stuff that I have listened to (repeatedly) on spotify. But now it's time to dig deeper. Where shall I begin?

There's not a ton to go through...

    Studio albums:
Twoism (early work, not very long album)
Music Has the Right to Children (a classic)
    Geogaddi (another classic, but darker)
    Campfire Headphase

    EP's:
    Hi Scores (early work)
In A Beautiful Place Out in the Country
    Peel Session EP
Trans Canada Highway (their most recent release prior to the new album)

If you like any of that, then I would recommend sniffing out their "early tunes" bootlegs

I'm partial to Music Has the Right to Children over anything else.

I love Music Has the Right but I love Geogaddi even more. It gets in that weird darkness in my brainchasm

Thanks for the insight. Thinking about picking up the Hi Scores EP vinyl, seeing as it is the stuff I have really liked thus far and it is actually affordable. What gives with the insane prices on the records? Just that epic? Low quantities? Rabid fan base? I'm sure it's all of the above.

Well that and they're all out of print. I have original (or original re-press) pressings of every one except the Peel Session EP. That one has always escaped me.

    My top 5 is:

    1. Music Has the Right to Children
    2. Geogaddi
    3. The Campfire Headphase
    4. Hi Scores
    5. Twoism

With that said, ALL of their music is absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong listening to any of their work.

Jeal. Gotta get on that soon. Did you pay out the ass for them or did you find them out in the wild? (if you don't mind me asking)

I don't see an extensive tour happening. My guess is a few festivals and a couple shows around each festival date, if they tour at all.

They haven't even played a live show since April of 2001. There is gonna be no tour. Sadly.
