    Default Alternative headliners..

Can you guys think of anyone else? Aphex Twin has headlined quite a few big Festivals in Europe and Japan so it wouldn't be out of the question....

putting both portishead and boards of canada on this list just isn't fair so i went with the bigger draw (portishead).

I wonder why B.O.Canada never tour? Love their music. Anyhow, a completely reunited Smashing Pumpkins would bring Coachella's rep through the roof So thats my vote.

I would rather do Analytic Number Theory homework than watch Aphex Twin headline a festival.

And I'm a HUGE Warp head. I have tons of Richard D. James CDs/Vinyls.

They got a new guy who sounds amazing actually. After the first few songs you forget that it's not Layne and just start enjoying the show. You are right though, they couldn't headline

Yes, when Tortoise curated it. I have the bootleg and it is really good...BoC hasnt played many shows, but when they do they pull it off very nicely.

Only half of that list would be able to carry a headlining slot. Bowie / Pumpkins / Talking Heads / The Zim ....

I'll throw another name out; The Black Crowes. If they could cut down a little on their jamming and just play tracks ......

They don't have the body of work to carry a headlining slot IIRC.

I beg to differ...I would pay good money to see Dummy performed in its entirety.

I personally love Portishead so much I think they should be a headliner, but if they were added to Coachella, they'd probably be sub-headliner.

I saw incubus when they were touring for Make Yourself...good show, lot of energy, small venue. Then, I saw them on the morning view tour...bad show, NO energy, large venue. I think I was the oldest person there and I was like 18...standing next to a 15 year old girl that is just coming into form and watching her jump up and down just isnt my idea of fun.
