I just voted this morning. I didn't think I could make a choice either. Bowie has more songs than Prince. Both perform well. I've seen Bowie 3Xs and Prince 96 1/2 days ago. Prince just has this presense that's hard to explain. The back up back was so tight and soulful. Musically trained but doing it like it should be done.

We'll see if my current opinion changes, that's if Bowie actually plays Coachella in 2009.

too bad prince gets cast as a pop star by the lazy american media, while bowie the more ecelectic and versatile artist. but, in fact, it's prince who's the more versatile and dynamic of the two, and by a very wide margin.

many people aren't even familiar with prince's punk-new wave-funk fusion phase of the early late70s-80s. amazing stuff.

bowie can't make a slow jam or a 9-minute funk workout. but, prince can do everything bowie does.

lock them both in a studio and it's destruction. put them both of stage and it's destruction. i don't see how anyone who's an actual fan of both votes bowie here.

prince is not a pop star. he's just a little black kid from minnesota who grew up to be the world's greatest musician, all while wearing makeup and high heels.

Some of Bowie's best songs were co-written with others. Meanwhile, Prince has written some of the biggest hits for other artists. I find that fascinating.

I think deep down inside everyone here knows that prince is more talented. Possibly moreso than any living musician. That's almost beside the point though - he's a funkster not a counter-culture legend. I bet a board with, for instance, black people on it would probably come to a different conclusion. And they wouldn't be wrong.

The only reason I listen to prince at all is that he's that good. Funk isn't generally my style. So my vote goes to Bowie.

I've seen Prince live already, and it was an AMAZING show. He OWNS not only the Stage, but the audience as well. I Would LOVE to see Bowie now.
