this thread is dedicated to the greatness that was the original twilight zone television series (1956-1964). you can still catch the classics on sci fi at like 1am. and who doesn't love mr. serling?! and of course, the simpsons parodies of this show are excellent.



my favourite episode of all time is probably "the midnight sun" where the earth falls out of orbit. i also like:

the odyssey of flight 33
the hunt (mainly cause it reminds me of my dad)
to serve man
nightmare at 20,000 feet
living doll
little girl lost

I used to be scared of the one where the guy is in an airplane and he sees a monster on the wing. When he looks out the window and the monsters face is right up in his grill... That scared the shit out of me back in the day.

nothing in the dark was a good one, with a young robert redford to boot! they really did a good job of getting guest stars on this show. mickey rooney was in the episode about the jockey, that one was weird...

some weren't as great as others, but the great ones really got to you. my mom says she saw the "little girl lost" episode when she was a kid and it freaked her the fuck out.

that is the "terror at 20,000 feet episode". another great one. what's funny to watch now is how they are smoking on the plane, the flight attendents can give shatner sedatives and how plush the seats are. flying sure has changed!

I found a torrent a year ago to the entire box set that includes every single fucking episode. It took a week to download but that shit is gold on my computer! Fucking great. I loved the intro cd which has rod sterling presenting and introducing the series to the networks executives who view it. Fucking brilliant!

I love how the Episodes would just start with NO FUCKING INTRO, and you would be like "wha the fuck is goin on?"

I love the Twilight Zone, one of the few shows on TV that I will watch no matter if its 1 am or not. Been wanting to buy the DVDs for a long time.
