Default This could mean something...(yes a radiohead thread)

My friends dad works for the Desert Sun (the newspaper out here in the Coachella valley) and he asked some of his contacts with goldenvoice if Radiohead is the new Friday headliner and they said "no comment". Could mean something *shrugs* we can only hope.

"No comment" is something that people who are out of the loop but want to pretend like they have status say in order to not be incorrect when the truth is finally revealed.

PF has said explicitly already that they are not playing. Why is that not enough?

    Not happening, seriously.

But if it were (In the land of hypotheticals), i imagine they'd do something like trade one radiohead day in APW for MBV and ask radiohead to play coachella again. Anyways, that would lead to all sorts of ticket fuckups, etc.

It aint happenin guys, let's move on from radiohead.

While I do not believe Radiohead is playing, I feel that this very argument can not be made. Sure PF said they werent playing, but that was months ago - back in September, maybe October at the latest. It is entirely possible that something has changed in the timespan from now and then.

Unless PF comes in again right now and says "they're not playing", then we can no longer use the reason "cuz PF said so".

    Same here.

Come on, it'll be the 10th anniversary, they are bringing out the big dogs next year: Talking Heads, Radiohead, David Bowie.

For Radiohead to play Coachella, it would go against everything they're trying to do to ensure they make the smallest carbon footprint possible on their tour. Not happening. In fact, unless their views change significantly in the next few years, I can't really seem them agreeing to play it ever again.

Okay, there's all this talk about how they want to reduce their carbon footprint, but I don't know where it's coming from (as in, anyone got an article/link?), and I don't get it. They're trying to reduce their total travel, is that it? Aren't they still going all over the place?

Its on ther website and greenplastic.com, ull have to scroll down quite a bit before they even announced a tour. But they ARE going all over the place but they are using trains i think and like ships to get their equipment. Kinda cool.
