no one is ever earlier...you'll be lucky if they start 5 minutes after their start time. Sets are usually 45-50 minutes and over an hour for headliners.

Tool ran over curfew last year as they were late starting due to tech difficulties.

If it's someone I really want to see, I go to see the band/DJ scheduled before, at least halfway through, to make sure I've got a good spot and am at the set I want to see from beginning to end. That way I get to hear music from acts I wouldn't normally have gone to see, plus from ones I'm there to see.
