HD PS3 questions for a tech

any techies here? i am getting direct tv tomorrow .... does the hd-dvr record and upload to 1080p ... and also, do you have a ps3 and do the games or blu-ray flicks upload to 1080p ... i havent been able to make it at that resolution yet ... cr****

Well, if your TV can not display 1080p, it doesn't matter. So keep that in mind. But to answer your questions:

Currently there are no 1080p broadcasts, so nothing on the DVR would be in 1080p. It will not upconvert.

and also, do you have a ps3

No, but,

do the games or blu-ray flicks upload to 1080p

There are no games availible in 1080p for the PS3 at the moment, but with an HDMI cable, you can display blu-ray discs at 1080p.
