Will Roger Waters Lip-Sing at Coachella?

It's a good show, I saw it in London in the summer, he seemed to be lip syncing through most of ours though, like when he was walking around the stage he wasn't at a microphon





It’s a pity that Roger ruined it in his new 2006 tour by lip-synching it.




And it was really emarassing hearing Waters lip syncing over his own vocals on Cigar. You could hear it quite clearly and there was a couple of times when he turned away and the voice was still there...

too bad there's alot of lip synching going on. literally, Fletcher is lip synched in its entirety... if Rog can't sing these songs, he should either 1) skip them, or 2) have someone sing it for him. it's obvious that he's just whispering under pre-recorded vox on a few of these songs that i've listened to so far. to compare, i think he lip synched just a single line back in 1999. there's actually a part in this vid (i think it's on Gunner's Dream) where RW is looking down as the vocals come in. blatant synching... enough to make Lindsay Lohan proud. oh well, he is 63.





other than speculation on waters lip synching a few lines it was one of the best shows i've ever seen.

Well...is he wrong? I won't be happy if I see the guy lip syncing. Why doesn't he just sing his best, bite the bullet? I'm paying to see him perform, not stand there while a machine and some backup singers perform for him.

He only sings on maybe out of three songs. The dude is old and HIS FUCKING VOCAL CHORDS ARE DAMAGED. But fortunately since he's never been the lead vocalist and choruses of backup singers are kinda essential to Floyd shows, it's not gonna bug you very much if he happens to be on one of the days that his voicebox won't work well enough to give the crowd the show he wants them to have. So he uses a backing track--like half of all the big concerts you've ever been to. They're pretty fucking common.

i love floyd but i had no idea he lip-synced, and i've already seen waters once. Although, honestly, i have the vision of a 90 year old woman (or 70 year old bass player) and therefore, i couldnt tell you if he was lip-syncing or not if you paid me a million bucks - for me it's less important since i have no way of confirming. please, people around me, if you see he's lip-syncing, dont say shit...
