I work in retail, do minor jewelry repairs, and some jewelry design.

I would like to work in an art supply store or a small bookstore. Or write a book or do standup. Or be retired and do any of those things whenever I want for fun.

Nice. I have actually just started taking a cost accounting class. What do you think of it? I've heard it is more difficult than other areas in accounting but maybe more profitable.

its simpler than it sounds. at least in my case i account from the ground up..supervise paying all the bills and other cost, then properly preparing the accounting records and reporting up the ladder in monthly reports.

I work for a web hosting company in Culver city, currently in the Billing dept and moving to Tech Support later this month.

I would like to create a site where concert/festival goers can purchase tix and not have to pay tm fees or deal with stubhub. I understand there is craigslist but i want the site to have reviews of past performances of the artist and most importantly the venues. Without having a done a lot of research as to competitors, I just feel the industry needs a site that is more concert goer friendly and less corporate. The domain i registered is tixuwant.com and I hope one day to launch the site with these listed ideas and many more.

I actually outlined the design of a site that did what you're talking about and a lot more--although you're not going to be able to cut TM out of the equation--but sadly there's a couple sites that finally got around to doing this recently. It's out there already, sorry homie.
