Usually I'm kinda jealous of these UK festivals but that doesn't really impress me.

It'd be cool to see some of them, but nothing that really jumps out at me and makes me think, "damn, I gotta go to that show!"

What ever happened to Rage just reuniting for a few select shows in the US, man they really are sell outs.

the whole point of becoming a band is to get your music out to the fans...and make money while doing it...they are quite good at it.

I'd take Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers any day over Metallica and Rage Against the Machine.

Pretty boring line up if you ask me...and wtf is up with Slipknot playing? And why would anyone want to see the Killers headline?

the killers are huge in europe. I had two foreign exchange students from the UK last year in one of my classes and we got to talking about bands in the UK. One of the bands they mentioned was The Killers, and how a lot of people liked them over there. So I get why the killers are headliners in europe

Yeah. I remember the old days when the bands that headlined festivals in Europe but not in America were good.

But Reading/Leeds lineups are always interesting. Always some great acts, bundled with a lot of WTF crap and disposable NME bands. In 2000 they had Pulp, Oasis, Muse, "Elliot" Smith, Beck, Rage, etc, but also Limp Bizkit.

This is where 50 Cent got bottled off the stage, yes?

Limp Bizkit, did they ever announce they were breaking up back in the day? I just remember hearing about them all the time to never hearing about them again.

Limp bizkit never broke up... Wes left in 2001...they did their guitar tour, got Mike Smith in 03... did results may vary... Mike left in 05, Wes came back, did The Unquestionable Truth part 1.... he left again...and now they have no guitarrist...

Seeing Tenacious D billed right below Metallica makes me giddy with joy. That is fucking awesome. Seeing Tenacious D play right before Metallica would be fucking amazing.
