You are more intuitive than I... I honestly didn't expect NIN to come back the same year HTDA is running a tour.

as i said some 6 months ago, they will return
i also thought they will be at Coachella 2013, but i guess its 2014

anyhow, they are playing Sziget in Hungary in August, and some dates around that. i guess Europe is approx August 1-15
Europe is also booked for November, so i guess USA Arena tour is October
that maybe makes sense for ACL or ?

He's taking a page out of the Billy Corgan playbook by announcing the "return" of his old band at the same time he's releasing new work under a different name, effectively squashing any hopes of the new work catching on with people beyond the diehards.

The timing IS a little bizarre, but it's not anything that's likely to upset the other band members - Rob's still Trent's art guy, Mariqueen's still his wife, Atticus is still his right-hand man though not apparently good enough to play in NIN.

That being said, he's been slowly milking the HDTA thing for over 2 years now so this isn't exactly a brand new thing anymore.

My kids don't like NIN. It would be a solo trip, if anything. I don't really want my kids to like NIN yet anyway -- they haven't reached the teenage angst stage yet.
