I don't know why everyone is surprised by this... I mean, they played on the second stage at Bonnaroo in 09, they subbed under Jane's Addiction at Sasquatch 09, they were a second tier headliner at Lolla 08, and a good portion of the arenas they played on their final tour were half empty.
They were a top tier headliner at Pemberton, so where are your excuses now Josh?!

On September 10, 2009, Nine Inch Nails performed what would be their final show ever – a scorching 3 1/2 hour, 37 song set – and then waved goodbye.
.
Today, after more than 5000 hours of work logged on the project, and more than 3 years later, our group - a tiny little dot - finally and proudly presents to the world nine inch nails: [after all is said and done], as an entirely free internet download - a professionally produced documentary of the blistering and momentous “wave goodbye” of NIN , using exclusively fan-shot footage - a labor of love, filmed by the fans, made by the fans, and made for the fans.

Yes. Trent opened those by his choice and his choice only.
Fuck this band, do a farewell show then come back only 3 years later. Money grubbing asshole.
"why are you so annoying" TheKlein25
I know, right? What, did he think marriage and fatherhood was going to make him not want to perform ever again??

Well technically he is from Pennsylvania but moved to the Cleveland area at some point. I have a good friend that says he knew him from school and that he was in a skateboarder click. I've heard all kinds of shit about dude from back in his early days. I especially like the stories about him living/recording above The Phantasy. Industrial music was in a renaissance in the midwest and especially Cleveland back in that time.
Yes. Also, I think his grandfather was some kind of AC/heating manufacturer? You can find Reznor heaters in certain places -- I think I saw one in Colorado at one point.

And evrything I've heard I consider just that..... a story. An acquaintance who had attended an after party in Cleveland for the first Lolla claimed that a skinny shitfaced Trent was greeting everyone both men and women with "Hey do you know where a guy can get a decent blowjob around here?" That one is my fave.
