Just wanted to see which boarders here are planning on Attending APW.

You need another "No" option. Such as:

"No, it's ridiculously overpriced for what little they have"

or

"No, Lollapalooza will have Radiohead, Underworld and Kings of Leon, will not have Jack Johnson and will cost $100 less"

I guess those are pretty similar. Also kinda similar to "No, lineup is crap."

Hahahaha well it is still pretty early. APW isn't until August and it has to compete with alot more festivals. I am just waiting for them to add Sigur Ros or MBV to Sunday to make it buy a ticket for Sunday. Yeah, Paul said no adds but you never know with Goldenvoice.

I am going on Friday - but I feel ripped off in a big way.

I made a bad choice in which GV festival to attend. But logistically, it was the better choice at the time.

I'm pretty sure we won't see any adds. Paul T pretty nixed both the Sigur Ros and the MBV rumors this past week. He even pointed out they (MBV) are in Europe that Friday anyways.

i have the hotel booked, just booked a free first class plane ticket, festival tickets are $0, so it will be pretty cheap for me. never been to nyc, have a second child due in mid september. so i am taking advantage of a little "me" time before life gets even more hectic.

While I understand why people are disappointed over the relatively small number of bands and absence of big subheadliners compared to the same-priced coachella, it is a festival with half the capacity of coachella and in a ridiculously expensive city. a 60k capacity test would generate enough ticket revenue for "more." if i lived in nyc i would attend the first two days in a heartbeat. But I can't afford it, so I am not going.

The bigger problem with this is - the set times - if only one band is playing, then it might be a problem seeing anything after 5pm

I am really really curious about the set times...I mean is everyone going to get a full hour and a half? I was going over some set times and there is sooo much room....even with RH and JJ playing full sets...

I'm going. The line-ups not bad and besides, it's perfect reason to go to NY. I'll be staying in a hostel in Manhattan for a week for only 170
