I've been discussing this with a dude about the Pemberton Festival. I said that NIN will be good but there are so many other acts I don't think it will be best.

NIN are a good show, but its never loud enough outdoors. Jay Z is a good time and I've never seen Coldplay. Now Flaming Lips are all about stage presence and put on an awesome show.
07/05 Jim Jeffries
07/26 The Postal Service and Max Cooper
8/2 & 4 Phish

I can't vote TWICE.
NIN and JAY Z ( but I have never seen J).
SUPER TARANTALA!!!!
jay z is fucking nuts live...
I saw Jay Z come onstage and sing 99 Problems and Big pimping with Phish at their Coney Island show. Most of the phans were confused, but it was awesome.
I thought that it was great that NIN mixed Burn into the setlist last tour.

I think the others will be better than NIN but I really want to hear March of the Pigs live again.
Although I am going, I am sick of half my friends saying this concert is going to be way more epic than coachella... because they have finals during coachella and have never been, or because this one is canada and it has big name headliners. It is a sweet line up and I will probably be going, but the line up can't hold a candle to coachellas.
I can sleep in till noon anytime I want
Though there's not many days that I do
Gotta get up and take on that world
When your an adult it's no cliche it's the truth
Oh and I say flaming lips.

i've seen everyone except coldplay on the list. i saw jay w linkin park doin 99 problems, seen nin at least 12 times over the years and tom petty once, flaming lips (butthole surfers and stp) were my first concert. my money would be on the lips, only bc as was said nin outdoors is not as good as an indoor venue bc of the sound.. but thats my guess

NIN put on an excellent show! So much energy and chaos going on onstage. I hope the setlist is as great as its been the past 2 years....
I dont really know what to expect from Jay Z, ive seen Fade To Black, but he kept bringing out guest after guest, and he prob wont have any at Pemberton, so you never know... It will be interesting to see.
Coldplay Ive heard are excellent live, so I look forward to that.
Flaming Lips...dont know them very well at all...the bubble thing though will be cool.
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Coachella: 4/11-13 @ Empire Polo Fields
I dont think anyone should be compairing these 2 festivals... They are entirely different... If Pemberton were anywhere other than BC I would not attend...but for BC to get this festival, with solid headliners is very impressive...but the expectations that come with Coachella are HUGE...I dont think Ill ever have the same with Pemberton, just like Sasquatch... A festival that I dont expect much out of, and get blown away every year by what they bring. i hope Pemberton becomes just that.

I've seen NIN and The Flaming Lips. Both are amazing shows, and the Lips will leave everyone feeling so incredible, it was hard not to vote for them. But NIN won for me because their show is equally moving in a totally opposite end of the mood spectrum and rarer to see.
The NIN live show has to be one of the least environmentally friendly shows around. I doubt the production will be run on solar energy.
As if any show is...like you are active anyways, try and make a difference where it really counts. I ask you this, what is the most polluting industry ?
I'm sure you don't know...its the shipping industry, where 95% of ALL goods are transported by and come from.
Edit:
And since you are from Alberta, how about those Athabasca Oil Fields ?

In Alberta it's all about oil!
Dead Souls? Nice. I was really hoping for that or The Day The World Went Away or Happiness in Slavery at Coachella.
Really wish I could have seen them before then because all the With Teeth crap soured the experience. I still really enjoyed the set, but you know what I mean. It's like the difference between being full after a good meal and being full after a really good mean but overindulging with a plate of seconds anyway because it's so good (never saw NIN again).

Whoa there. Let's not have any Alberta-bashing. I'm sure your relative politicians and corporate executives have done some iffy shit too. You can't stereotype us like that it's not fair.
Fuck Alberta.

I read this and instantly went looking for video on youtube.

Fan-fucking-tastic.
And I love the Phish fans doing the chorus to 99 Problems.
I am not a Phish fan...its just not my thing. But Christ, I respect them. And their fans seem pretty damn awesome.
tom petty isn't even on the poll...although i doubt he would garner much attention.
