Autograph Tent!

i'm so sure this has been covered before, but whatever, a major highlight of my 06 Coachella was meeting franz ferdinand (swoooooooooooon) and getting their self-titled on vinyl autographed (now framed and on my wall, along with my autographed bruce campbell evil dead picture), my homegirl got her bra signed

i missed coach last year, so I don't know who was doing signings, but let the speculations begin on 08!

*note* i KNOW its almost an impossibility, but can you imagine if the raconteurs were doing a signing, I would skip so many bands for the chance to be face to face with jack white and to maybe possibly shake his hand

I would definitely go to a Metric signing. Oh fuck yes. Somebody like Portishead won't be doing a signing, but maybe one subheadliner will. Saturday's lineup is especially good so I don't think there will be time to catch a signing, unless it's before 2pm. St. Vincent would be cool.

why do people liek autographs? i dont really get it to be honest. like if i meet someone and have a good convo wiht them im like hey can you sign my blah blah blah. but id never want to jsut get an autograph. be like hi. i like your music sign my cd and everybody elses thanks. like. does that even really count as meeting someone?

the signing tent last year was a joke - too many no shows and late arrivals - I couldn't be bothered with it.

there is a lot of backlash here on the board, but i am guessing he will have many, many fans there to see him...the coachella board does not equal the real world.

Mike Patton walked outta the signing half hour early. I was choked. Rumour is someone brought a Faith No More CD to get signed and Pattion got pissed.

the patton signing last year was packed, my buddy got a cd signed and a couple pictures. he was as happy as a school girl.

I got Lili Allen to sign the cd and a pic with here. I said "hi" and she said "hello" in a british accent and I got a chubby.
