You could climb it at Burning Man... so unless there are more liability issues at Coachella you should be able to get up in there.

Yeah! The Ammonite or Nautilus. We helped the crazy German artists put it together at Burning Man 2000. At night we went out to light candles to put inside and the guys drove us into it... until the antenna started thwacking the support bars.

Yeah, for those who didn't like the train, this will probably be more annoying, only because if I remember correctly (it was BM, after all) the sound is controlled via levers by visitors who climb up into it. The sound is loud, morose, and haunting. You could hear it for miles across the playa. As long as there is enough steam, it can be sounded at any time. At BM, all the decor details were set about like a house, not welded down and surprisingly intricate. I imagine that will have to change if they let anyone inside at Coachy, 'cause the psychological atmosphere is a wee bit different. So, the aesthetic will no doubt be a little different from the inside than it was on the playa...
