I don't know about Radiohead winning. The Beatles are headlining Deadchella and there is talk about a full tour. If they get Jesus to open for them, that would so make more money than Radiohead.

The way albums were recorded was forever changed by the Beatles. Radiohead has done a fine job of reaping the benefits, while making their own innovation and contributions.

i don't like the kind of argument you're making, because if we take it to its logical conclusion then we would have to say that the first band which used a guitar gets the nod for their OG status, or that the first band that ever used any sort of electronic element gets the nod for OG status, or even that the first person who ever sang gets the nod for OG status.

I think its hard to compare the two, just because of the fact that these bands hit their respective prime about 30 years apart, and the music industry was completely different in 1968 than it was in 1998, let alone 2008.

radiohead has 7 albums, the beatles have over 20. The beatles at one point had a new album every 9 months, all of which were good. The beatles took rock fun music, and made it into something more. You know where this is going right?
