The Simpsons is an abomination and has been since the 10th season. It's fucking insulting to what was once the ultimate satirical work of humanity. I would give anything if they would euthanize that show already.
I laughed that he was sneaking a big Gyro disguised as a woman, but when he called it later...lame. It was a Family Guy joke without the cheap guilty laugh.
Also, I'm disappointed they didn't "go through with" the plot of the episode, if you know what I mean. Cheap ending.
Also, without having seen the episode, this looks like a pretty clear rip-off of the bit about the sub sandwich Homer ate for several months until it gave him food poisoning. From like the fourth season. The show started stealing their own jokes so frequently that I couldn't stand watching it anymore.
Oh, and the fact that now they have at least four "The Simpsons Go To [location]" episodes a year. I'd like to punch Groening, James L. Brooks, and all the other producers in the fucking head for hiring a head writer who'd never watched the show before.
I still enjoy the show, but yeah, it's not as good as it once was.
It's not the same show anymore. At all. It's just sad. They don't use any angles, everything just in a medium shot, the characters got completely twisted... it's just hackneyed as all shit and they did it practically on purpose by hiring the worst choice of writers I can imagine.
I know, but it has this sort of sillyness to it that still makes me lozL...
I think they should end the show on season 20...or 21..just seems right.
And with that, it wasn't my intent to make a "discuss the problems with The Simpsons" thread.
Just that ish had me rollin' last night![]()
i was really disappointed by the movie...
and I think Tom's correct too
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case.
looked like pancakes
19? Dude, I stopped watching it because it got too broad when I was about 16. I own the first seven seasons--the differences are drastic and impossible to overlook, not just in the quality of the jokes but in the entire style of the show. At the beginning of the tenth season they hired a head writer who was not even a fan of The Simpsons. That was when it turned to utter shit.
