Country, by far. It's the only big genre that I view as dead. It hasn't evolved since the early 80's and that to me is a dead genre. Also there are only 6 topics for country to talk about and I have NEVER heard (unless it's by Outlaw Country artists such as Cash, Nelson, ect).
1. Drinking and getting dumped for drinking.
2. Patriot songs
3. Complete fucking random shit (i.e Honkey Tonk Budunka donk, She Thinks My tractors sexy)
4. Their pet (Horse, Dog usually)

so glad to see the results of this poll. nothing worse than nickelback / creed / hinder shit. 'post grunge' sounds pretty accurate to me though (without any offense to actual quality grunge era music)-- it somehow seems to be a bland, processed derivative of grunge music-- the hugeness of the riffs, the generic hoarse voice singer, etc

also, the 2000s post-punk revival brought so, so many good bands to the table that i would vote it the best genre on this poll
