SILVERCHAIR? are u f'ing kidding me. yea i'm sure they can follow explosions in the sky and carry their own weight. no way! the last time i saw them they looked like they could be part of priscilla queen of the desert. what happened to them? hanson brothers -vs- silverchair? both very gay indeed. the record label turned them from young grunge musicians into total tools of the industry.
i would be the happiest girl in the world if silverchair came. for real.
Yeah. Because when you were 14 you were touring the States and most of Central Europe with your parents promoting an album on a major record label that actually managed to get a lot of mainstream attention despite the major grunge monopoly in seattle. That's pretty fat, yo.
im excited to see them
I wish I could see them at the el ray! damn them being sold out, then having tickets last minute, after I already had plans. I would give up just about anything to see silverchair, except the $150 I already dropped on RENT tix for the same night in Santa Barbara. Now I'm just going to hope above all else they get added to Coachella, or come back to the states sometime soon. PLEEASE!
^^^ Ahhh, the good ol' days.
yeah...the good old anorexia days..
i am happy he is healthy now. and married to one hot chick too.
that was one long fuckin set.
too bad they didnt play israel's son i was looking forward to that!
and the 18 yo's moshpitting next to me was really annoying
i was already feeling sick before the gig now i'm definitely feeling like crap.
i went to roscoe's after the gig and couldnt finish the chickin. that's how bad i felt.
You lucky bastard.
Did they play a good variety of new/old? I'm really hoping for some more US tour dates...
sorry for your feelingcrapness
they played about 3-4 new stuff that i wasnt really into.
there's emotion sickness, ana, and a bunch from diorama. i dont remember if miss you love was on the list.
i just realized how rocky/ cheesy diorama is.
Here's the set for Sunday's show:
Set: Without You, Emotion Sickness, Greatest View, World Upon Your Shoulders, Across the Night, Young Modern, Ana’s Song, Straight Lines, Tuna in the Brine, Luv Your Life, The Door, Don’t Wanna Be the One, Mindreader, Freak
Enc 1: If You Keep Losing Sleep, The Lever
Diorama dominated the night as you can see. God, that is one terrible album. The new stuff sounded real cool, especially Young Modern. I might have to pick up that album when it gets released here in the states.
Some article that was printed in the LA Times before the show stated that they cannot relate to the Frogstomp album anymore so they won't be playing songs from there. Luckily I saw this before so I wasn't too disappointed when they decided to ignore the album. And yes, I think it's dumb too.
How can they not relate to it anymore? I was soul mates with that album in Jr. High, and we still have hook up for a good fuck every now and again... We're still friends!
