A shitty singer of a shitty band killed himself and they still won't stop playing. That pisses me off.

all I can say is that this band is pretty lame

actually, I liked them, but let it die and be dead. No need to live off of the name

Ridiculous. Shannon Hoon's voice was a fundamental part of Blind Melon and, much like Alice in Chains, represents the band. Leave it be.

How do you 'accidentally' overdose ?? If you're doing drugs, you're trying to fuck yourself up so od'ing should be the ultimate goal of any junkie.

There is so much wrong with this statement that I don't really know where to begin.

Really. Not to mention that Shannon was the fucking soul of that band. Blind Melon were fantastic, one of the most ripped-on and underrated bands of the nineties- but with this forced new lineup they're just terrible. Terrible.

    It could be worse.

It could be "Queen" with Paul ROdgers recording a new album...

    ...

    Which they are doing...

Wow, that's really cool. Maybe now Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic will reunite and have Frances Bean Cobain do vocals.

Read it and weep. This is about as bad as Nirvana getting together with Jared Leto as the lead singer to record an album... ugh.

    ^^^

I've not listened to this Comes With The Fall band. What are the chances this new singer will be the Brian Johnson to Layne's Bon Scott?

Edit: Yeah, I'm being optimistic here. Only a handful of bands get higher than AIC in my book and I don't want them to destroy their legacy. There are only a few instances where a band can come back after the death of their singer and release a monster album, Back In Black being the only one that comes to mind right now.

um....false. you accidentally overdose by thinking you can handle more than your body actually can, or being too high to realize what you are doing, or an adverse and unexpected reaction, it happens for a lot of reasons, wanting to die is just one of those reasons. making blanket statements like that is a sign of ignorance and stupidity.
