I'd buy the three day pass just to see them. Since I left You is a classic. Had not heard of them before that album dropped, but I have not stopped listening to that album since 2001. We need the Avalanches in America!!

hang on... big lights, big stage, big screen...but where is the fucking sounds? this sounds like a load of bollix to me - almost no mixing of any sort - playing def leppard and mylo stright from record...i heard the main masterminds from avalanches are gone from the lineup but this sounds like nonsense to me...

I could actually see something like this happening in the next couple months. That would be great wouldn't it.

...man...I wish the Avalanches kept playing as a band rather than a crew of DJs...they used to be a thousand times more interesting.....

I first shared my excitement over this news a couple of days ago over here:

    http://www.coachella.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1467

However I'm glad you started a thread in the Line-up section. Hopefully this happens. If not this year, the next. Either way, if they're not at Coachella I hope they make it to the States for some sort of tour in '07.

Thanks for the download link dork.

Dear God, I WOULD DIE! I'd buy 5 more 3 day passes just for myself if that happened.
They are even higher on my list than Portishead

From the youtube clips I saw it looks like they are playing as a band more so than a DJ collective.
