When you are done for the weekend, sleeping bags and pillows will be donated to local homeless organizations. Choose from a 2, 4 or 6 person tent (which sizes range from 200 to 400 square feet).

$350 a person. Thats pretty lame. This is pretty cool though "When you are done for the weekend, sleeping bags and pillows will be donated to local homeless organizations." I suppose if you're already spending that much money to travel overseas it might be nice but you wouldn't meet as many people. I mean it's only about $90 a night after taxes but still. I'll stick with my $14 a night.

i already have one of those vip tents. i'm not even going to use it. i think i might set fire to it at the end of the fest so they can't give it to homeless bums

Well I think Ill get one of those Tents because Im comin all the way from London and Im not bringing camping gear of course. Ill stay in LA for one week in a hotel and then Im going to the Coachella, so I think its the best thing I can do... but If I get a 2 person tent just for me..Oh shit..that will be too expensive! But Im preparing this trip for a while..so..Im ready for anything!!!! By the way..Ill be in Miami for the last 2 weeks of MArch for the winter music conference and ultra festival if anyone is around!

sounds awesome but expensive. if there is access to the "regular" campgrounds area benefits (movie, bar/food, cyber cafe, etc), i may have to try this some year. assuming they keep it up.

Ya they have access to the regular campgrounds. The only diference is that this area has security and only who is staying in this area has a wristband and people can only access that area if they are with someone that has the wristband.

dude, they make light, very portable tents for 1-2 persons, you could easily travel with it, i feel the VIP camping is such a waste of money and can go to much more important things *coughdrugscough* or water, food, shirts etc. etc.

To be fair, these aren't just tents. The smallest one is 200 square feet. My wife and I just got an 80 square foot tent, and it seems so roomy.

It seems like when that webpage leaked, these looked like they were going to be like those cabin tents you'd see in the Wisconsin Dells. Like in National Lampoons Vacation.
