is there any other artists that I am truly missing out on?
the record itself is enjoyable and I mean... shit what I am missing out on otherwise?
maybe Boards of Canada. still haven't gotten around to that.

yeah listen to Boards of Canada. Music has a Right to Children is their best album, then listen to Geogaddi and then Campfire Headphase. You may also like Royksopp, they are the closest thing to the Knife that I can think of.
RAPE STOVE
white power?!
If you have not heard Silent Shout, go listen to it now. It blows their S/T album out of the water.

Yes. Deep Cuts is about 10 times better than Silent Shout.
Campfire might be a good one for a beginner to get in on. I think it is the most accessible. You definitely need Music Has the Right... and Geogaddi, as well. I HIGHLY recommend that you also pick up the Skam/Hi Scores EP. That doesn't get much attention but it is amazing.
For your health
They're one of the most requested bands. Do you think they'll play?
I'm not huge on electronic music, but they are unique.
They remind me of Portishead and Cocteau Twins...
Both of whom I like very much
Deep Cuts and Silent Shout are two completely different albums but they are both excellent. Deep Cuts may have some of the better individual tracks but I think I like Silent Shout as a whole more. Deep Cuts is more of a pop album with more upbeat songs. Silent Shout is a little darker but still has some really catchy rhythms and melodies.
Get the Deluxe Edition of Silent Shout. It has a DVD of a live performance that is spectacular. It also includes all of their videos from every album. Well worth the $15.00 on Amazon.
DEEP CUTS
Shows how much you know about electronic music... LOL.
Seriously, though, I dont get where you people find the comparison between the Knife and Royksopp...
In terms of electronic artists, check out:
- The Grid
- Boys Noize
- The Field
In terms of recent releases. That is all.
I downloaded the new album on a whim. It's pretty different... Reminds me of a more disco version of Booka Shade.
do you know Dave Ball? Some Bizzare?
Deep Cuts is the best album of the knife so far... and the comparisons between both Royksopp and the Knife might be because Karin Dreijer is the one who does vocals on What Else is There..
"Heartbeats" is really great and would probably be twice as great live and especially has an incredible beat.
