Can you honestly listen to Chromeo, and the others listed here, and say that they do not pertain to the 80s? Better bone up on your music history, boy.

um, for starters - its the odd comparision of bands from the 80's and those imitating 80's music (chromeo), so this poll is confusing. Even with that, the poll selections are just as strange?

A better poll would be Bands that sound like they are from the 80's, or 80's Bands Still Doin Their 80's style ... then again your poll would have only 2-4 choices, which ain't much of a poll, hence my commnet.

and his song is that stuff that was acceptable in the 80's isn't now. so he would entirely be contradicting that song by singing in a musical style acceptable in the 80's.

Granted, Kraftwerk recorded much of their best music in the 70s, but they were hugely influential among 80s performers (in the same way that 80s groups have influenced many contemporary groups listed here), hence the reason they were included on this poll -- oh, and btw, Computer World was released in '81, Electric Cafe in '86. So, tell me again why Kraftwerk doesn't fit and why this poll is stupid?

Seems there are 1) a lot folks with little imagination and/or music knowledge on this board and/or 2) lots of just plain haters.
