if you love the CURE then yes or you will regret it when waiting 4yrs for them to tour again
SB is a beautiful, great venue. I sat in the back section before and it was still a totally great seat. Saw Wilco & Ben harper + damien Marley there. Both great shows.
thing that sucks about the SB bowl is the curfew. Shows start early since all shows have to be finished by 10 or something. I think Damien Marley went on when it was still light on, at 6:30. Wilco started at 7
Then I will hold you down and spit her percolations all over you until you're as greasy as the day she regrets pushing your big fat ass out her big fat cunt.
that don't mean nothin' .... just look at all the old rockers in their 50-60s that are still playin... rolling stones, the who, the doors, aerosmith, zep is sorta back together... even george clinton & b.b. king are still touring. it's not like robert smith is the most active performer.
but the cure are great live, i'm seeing 'em in san diego. will be my 3rd cure show (got to work the 1st in '96 w/ backstage passes, watched the encore from the side of the stage).
I was reading a pretty good article 'bout their new album...I'm gonna have to remember where I saw it...
I highly recommend going, the Cure are really a great live act, especially when they have time to get rolling. They're playing between 35-39 songs this tour, and lasting over 3 hours, so it's well worth the ticket price, and I think 65daysofstatic are opening, so that's a plus too.

I've never been let down by a Cure show. Even the Wild Mood Swings tour was great, and that album blew IMO.
Robert is still in his late 40s. He was like 17 when they formed. Simon is frickin' ageless. Porl is probably oldest- he's back after a few years off. Jason is pretty young still. They've got more tours in them, but it's probably downhill from here. Actually, it was probably downhill from 2004- that tour was a mindblower- at least the Phoenix show.
you want to see the cure![]()
Saw the Cure in '88. Yawn. Twenty years later? I'd skip it.
I've said this a hundred times, but they are the only band that has been better every time I've seen them over the years. In '88, they hadn't even released their album peak yet. I honestly believe they just hit their live peak a few years ago. Actually, with Porl back...this year might be the peak.
The Cure never even toured in 1988. 1987 maybe? If so, Disintegration wasn't even released then. That was the start of the band really becoming an epic force on stage, IMO.
I thought the Dream Tour 2000 was their peak, emotionally and musically, but all the stuff I've heard from the newest incarnation of the band has been quite energetic. Porl's guitar has effectively replaced the keyboards, which has been a great thing for the most part.

for further evidence, try to rent the "Trilogy" or "Festival" DVDs... still waiting for "Show" to be released.
Thanks for the reminder...I got the Festival DVD Christmas '06 and I STILL haven't watched it.
I got Trilogy used and it skips right at the beginning of The Kiss![]()
Show was good...still have the VHS. I also have a bootleg copy of Cure In Orange, and I've got the MTV Unplugged taped from the original broadcast.
GO SEE THEM!!!
I think it's the 30th anniversery of the "Three Imaginary Boys" album and when I saw them last year in Mountain View they played 2 encores in which the last encore consisted songs entirely off the Three Imaginary Boys album. I must say that was a great show.
I'm going to see them here at the Dodge theater...very small venue and the most expensive tix are only $60. They better play Disintegration.
Evidence in support of seeing the Cure live this tour. Robert Smith means business on that guitar of his.

I'm thinking about the Hollywood Bowl show...
That'd be pretty cool to see them in the bowl of all places.
i'm seein' 'em in san diego on june 3rd... was supposed to be last oct. until they postponed the tour to finish work on the new album... now the show's comin' up in a few months & there's still no word on the album. anyone hear anything about that?
I can't believe they are playing the HP Pavilion...yukkk!!!
May 6th is the only date I've heard kicked around.
Back last summer, Robert was saying there was going to be 2 versions- a single CD, and a double CD "special edition" type thing. But now I'm hearing it's going to be a double CD for the price of 1. 13th album...13 songs on each CD. You'd think they'd delay it a week and release on the 13th...
Still no title, which is probably why Amazon hasn't listed it yet.
BTW, I think I might need this...
