    Default four tet

ok, im sure there must be a thread, given the number of the times ive seen them mentioned here. but the search reveals nothing.

so, someone please post a good example of four tet. the youtube link only has really boring instrumental stuff. and judging from the buzz, they are more than that, right? please show me.

interesting. so why all these "going to smash it/kill it!" stuff? seems real chill. not that its a bad thing, i just dont get the excitement or the set time.

edit: will watch that vid later out of work and see if its one of the ones i saw already.

    so is he on samplers/keyboard?

1.5 hrs for Four Tet? Yes pls. Thinking I'll catch the first hour while getting some grub (the Yuma Stage is one of the food courts, right?) before Modest Mouse starts.

Okay but he's in YUMA and that stage looks tiny and terrible.. He deserves better.

He wouldn't get that long of a set in the Gobi. I think it's gonna be a nice fit, but we shall see.

It is boring instrumental music but his live show is actually exciting.. Here's a couple of really good examples of stuff you may be able to get into:

Try doing something else while this is on. Sitting in your room listening to four tet is a lot different than dancing in a tent at coachella with a light show and visual amazement.

Four tet doesnt smash or kill anything. If you enjoy eating drugs, he will massage your brain. If you like drops and boom boom boom beats, you wont like his set.

They should have booked him right beore luciano, that would be a fantastic back to back.

He played a live set for us at camp bisco, meaning he played all his new materia a year and a half before pink was released. I saw him open for radioead and he had 2 musicians with him. Dunno which you consider "live".

Im assuming it will be like the camp bisco set where he played his own stuff but didnt have supporting artists. Either way he adds live productions in his sets.

    Who doesn't like glowy things?

I expect the main differentiation btw the Sahara and Yuma to be age, people wearing shirts, and actual dancing as opposed to pumping fists in the air.
