I entered the contest on GrimyGoods and TheScenestar. I really want to go!! If I win I am going to get there early and wait to get a really good spot.
Anyone got set times for the Palladium show tonight?
Nice. Thanks icedKeg. Looks like a pretty late night. Was hoping to catch Low End tonight after but I guess not w/ those set times.
Some afterparty business at cinespace/dimmak for tonight for whoevers interested.
This is one of those shows were people will be saying, "Why didn't I go?".
Like all my friends who turned down the Knife at the El Rey.
Hey I had friends who passed on Daft Punk and White Stripes at the El Rey (Separate shows).
I think they wanted to watch some TV show or something.
Palladium just went off! Brought be back to the Mojave. Good job LA! Washed out was fantastic as well.
That was the most fun I have had at a concert since LCD's last show. Danced my ass off. I disliked Washed Out from their latest album but they were not bad to me live. And I actually rather liked Midnight Magic. Solid night.
3rd time seeing them this year and still blown away. However, agreed that tonight had an exeptional amount of drunk assholes pushing and just being fucking malicious.
I caught them on Sunday, came home a sweaty mess. So nice to see them really close this time.
"Give me women, wine and snuff
Until I cry out 'hold, enough!"
Ive been waiting to hear "Where Am I Going" live but the drummer said its mostly played for non-festival shows. I'm hoping for it on Saturday.
I thought last night was fantastic. I had a blast and was by myself haha. Loved getting to hear Saturdays live and liked what they did with it a lot. Also loved the addition of So Haunted and Sun God. All the live percussion is just wonderful.
In terms of drunk and rolling ballstards assholes (yes, there we a lot), some notes:
1) Hey guy plowing 20 ft across the crowd to thank a girl with a stupid sailor's hat for her "energy"...fuck you.
2) To the girl he told that to, turnaround and look at the band goddamnit.
3) E-tard girl on her boyfriend's shoulders blowing kisses to the crowd. Eat SARS. Also, you look like shit in all the pictures you and your BF are taking so stop.
4) Hobbit looking guy behind the couple dancing silly without a shirt on...you rule.
But really these are minor notes on an otherwise fun-filled evening. Apologies if any of these people were you. Kind of.
Oh, and I thought Washed Out was predictably boring but I think the crowd's anticipation for Cut Copy played a role in that.
LOL Rag! I elbowed that guy in the stomach hard who plowed through the crowd to get to that girl. He almost knocked my wife over and I almost knocked him out... I give people a lot of slack and try to be tolerant, but last night was out of control.

Damn, judging from your comments, I'm glad I went farther back from the stage. I was getting some major douchebag vibes from the people around me (I was maybe 5 feet back from the rail) and decided I didn't really need to be that close, that a dance party would still be a dance party from the middle of the floor. Aside from the girl in front of me basically having sex with me without intending to (this was uncomfortable, I tried to avoid but her ass kept going all over me) it was a good choice.
setlist from last night at the palladium:
Take Me Over
Feel the Love
Hanging Onto Every Heartbeat
Corner of the Sky
Lights and Music
Blink And You'll Miss A Revolution
Pharaohs and Pyramids
Voices in Quartz
Hearts on Fire
Where I'm Going
Need You Now
I guess I won't cry about missing last night's show since the crowd apparently wasn't all that great.
Hoping Treasure Island people will be in a good mood.
Kind of ironic that everones complaining about the crowd not focusing on the music when clearly those of you complaining weren't either, since you were focused on the dbags. Get in your own Z and get the fuck down, who cares about those losers?
Insanely fun show last night, as was to be expected. So great seeing them in a non-festival setting doing a full set. Was very pleased with the band and how weird they got.
Dancing>A LOT OF SHIT
The crowd for Cut Copy in Tulsa was one of the best crowds I have ever seen. They were freaking out, and I felt guilty being in the front center rail spot. I thought they were going to bring the rail down. Amazing show.
