Booka Shade!

well...cause most people havn't heard of them. They have only played I wanna say 20-30 times in the States. Has anyone has first hand knowledge of a Booka Shade show??? We "know" they're gonna be sick, but we cant really know until we witness the madness. LCD style.

I saw them in LA last year, so they probably at least played a few other cities, and before anyone says they weren't big then, they were just as famous in 07 as they are now. Movements was hyped by Pitchfork and all that in 06.

I mentioned the new Booka in another thread, but haven't actually listened yet. Will listen now.

I have seen Booka in denver, Detroit, And Miami. Definetly one of the best live electronic acts I have ever seen. The energy is amazing and the music is even better. This act is a must see for all. I will be front and center.

Booka Shade are set to release their new remix EP 'Scaramanga' next month.

Returning last year with their album 'More!' Booka Shade sounded harder, better, faster, stronger. Informed by their extensive live work, the album pushed the German producers into new territory.

At times boasting a rock edge, 'More!' was greeted warmly by fans. Booka Shade took the album on tour, playing a large number of dates across the globe.

Touring hard, the band have been able to squeeze out a few singles. Drawn from their recent album, Booka Shade are planning to release their new EP 'Scaramanga' as a digital download next month.

Given the remix treatment, 'Scaramanga' is shoved into several new directions. Available on 12 inch vinyl, Booka Shade's new EP contains re-workings from Reset Robot, Dusty Kid and the German pair themselves.

For the digital EP, the producers have hooked up with a number of guests. The five track release comprises the material from the vinyl version, alongside two specially commissioned new remixes.

Hey Today! have taken on 'Scaramanga' while Schadenfreude will also contribute to the new EP. Available digitally, the initial download release will be handled exclusively by the Beatport site.

Meanwhile, 12 inch pressings are coming of the factory right now. Due to be given a download release next month, Booka Shade have confirmed that three more remixes are set to surface.

Due to erupt onto a blog near you, producers such as Javier Longares, Marascia and Gainsford have all been linked to the project.

The fact that they havent released their north american tour dates yet and seeing that they are playing Ultra music festival (east) in march gives me high hopes that they'll be on the west in april. If this shit happens, im going to spaz the fuck out and if Underworld is added with booka shade, id seriously die in music heaven.
