I think everyone prefers Hustler. Aside from simply being their best song by far, it's also a much bigger hit than anything else they've done.

I can't ever really get all the way through Hustler. I don't really care for the lyrics about stealing records or whatever.

I actually think "I Believe" is there best song, followed in quality & in the actual sequencing of the album - "Hotdog"

The lyrics are so much fun to sing along to! You need to hear Hustler out at a club or a party or something, it's the ultimate jam.

I thought the album was sort of disappointing for a number of reasons, but I don't want to turn this thread into another big argument.

    Fair enough on both accounts.

I was making a playlist for our Leap Year's party next week, and had to add an SMD track, i wanted to add Hustler (for the record, i love the hook), but I just wanted a less vocal track. I was actually scanning through the Clock EP first, but finally settled on Hotdog.

Actually the one thing I can't get out of my head when I think of "Hustler" is the music video.

Its like the Infinite Monkey Theorem, if you put X amount of monkeys in a room with a typewriter and ask them to give you Shakespeare 99% of them will fling their shit at you while the other 1% will masturbate in the corner.

    Agreed.
Coachella is a place beyond conventional geography, a time not measured in hours or minutes, an experience, a state of mind, an attitude, and a holy form of expression. The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is an annual festival put on by Goldenvoice in Indio, CA. Please don't confuse the two.

Next up to sift through their record collections and compile a couple hour's worth of tracks for Fabric are James Ford and Jas Shaw, better known as the duo Simian Mobile Disco. Though they've proven their live chops with last year's Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release and numerous shows packed with screaming fans, the two are no strangers when it comes to making a DJ mix.

For FabricLive 41, the duo looked to electro, techno, disco, and even a little minimal for the tracklisting, and made sure to include names as new on the scene as Hercules and Love Affair and ones as old and familiar as Green Velvet. Bag this mix in August.

For those still obsessed with Ford and Shaw's live setup and performance, watch them dissect their studio on Episode 29 of XLR8R TV.

    Fabriclive 41 Tracklisting
01 Tomita The Firebird "Infernal Dance Of King Kastechi (Clean Version)"
02 Sisters Of Transistors "The Don"
    03 Simian Mobile Disco "Simple"
04 Hercules And Love Affair "Blind (Serge Santiago Version)"
05 Smith N Hack "Space Warrior"
    06 Discodeine "Joystick"
    07 Shit Robot "Chasm"
08 Perc & Fractal "Up Tool"
    09 Metro Area "Miura"
    10 Worthy "Crack EI"
    11 Moon Dog "Suite Equestria"
12 Fine Cut Bodies "Huncut Hacuka"
    13 Bentobox vs Chordian "Aemono"
14 Jelo & DeadMau5 "The Reward Is Cheese"
15 Simian Mobile Disco "Sleep Deprivation (Simon Baker Remix)"
16 Popof "The Chomper (LSD Version)"
    17 Raymond Scott "Cindy Electronium"
18 Paul Woolford Presents Bobby Peru "Erotic Discourse"
19 Moebius Plank Neumeier "Pitch Control"
    20 Plastikman "Spastik"
    21 Green Velvet "Flash"
22 The Walker Brothers "Nite Flights (Album Version)"

Bumped. New album supposedly out August 17.

    http://thequietus.com/articles/01628...stival-details

    It sounds promising.

    http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=10544

Entitled Temporary Pleasure, the duo's second album features a raft of high profile vocal performances, with only two of the record's ten tracks appearing in instrumental form. Yeasayer's Chris Keating voices the lead-off single "Audacity of Huge," whilst Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor, Jamie Lidell, Gossip's Beth Ditto and Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys are amongst the other acts to have taken their turn in Simian's vocal booth over the last 18 months of recording. From what we've heard of the record, it seems to have much more of a tech-house slant than 2007's Attack Decay Sustain Release, with the ascending riffs of "10000 Horses Can't Be Wrong" and "Good Life"-esque synth stabs of "Synthesise" poised to cater to a much different set of DJs than their more electro-inclined material. Designer and illustrator Kate Moross (who also runs vinyl-only indie label Isomorph) is set to fashion the artwork for the release, and she'll also take directorial duties for the "Audacity Of Huge" music video.
