Okay, I'm getting sick of the repeat Jack Johnson threads, and bullshit threads about bands like Enter Shikari bumped to the top. Let's talk about a legitimate band, the ONLY worthwhile San Diego band playing at Coachella this year (fuck you, Slighty Stoopid): Grand Ole Party.

They're okay. I saw 'em open (along with The Bird and the Bee) for Rilo Kiley. I imagine they'll open one of the stages, probably the one Rilo Kiley plays on.

Whether you like it or not almost all the members of Maroon 5 do have talent. They make shitty music, but there is talent there.

This band will always have a special place in my heart. They opened for Album Leaf at the Troubadour in 2006. I managed to get to the front of the stage before the show started, and I notice the drums are directly in front of me. They take the stage, and I find that the drummer is an attractive girl in a miniskirt. I don't know, but that is a pretty bold maneuver. One that I certainly enjoyed. They were a lot of fun musically, as well. The vocals are really impressive live, as she has a set of pipes on her, although I could see how they would annoy people. I say give them a chance.

I stayed away from this band simply because of the name. Never liked the band "Bush" for the same reason.

Saw them last night, and it was spectacular. I actually bought their CD, something I haven't done in ages, just to give it away to someone so I can rub their faces in the fact that they didn't take me up on the free tickets. GOP are gonna be huge by their third album.
