Living in Chicago this is only a few hour drive for me.

4th of July weekend camping with a TON of my friends?

The camp ground has both indoor and out door water parks.

Lakes with beaches to swim in. Plus random pools and hot tubs located around the land.

Restaurants and bars.


A large group of my friends are planning on setting up the biggest camp area at rothbury. Anyone else going?

rothbury is posting craigslist ads asking for people to work concessions, but to apply they want you to send a picture of yourself. what's the deal with that...

So I guess Gogol Bordello canceled Rothbury and now Widespread Panic is playing 2 sets...

Apparently they are trying to get people to work the festival in various capacities.

They have volunteer work, open mic opportunities and all kinds of other working positions.

I guess 4th of July is a big weekend to play a festival. There are plenty of options for bands to choose form.

I bought two passes for $400 total today.

I just got back from Rothbury.

I can honestly say it is was one of the coolest festivals I have ever witnessed in my entire life. If rothbury gets some better talent at this venue, Coachella is going to have a run for it's money.

Bonnaroo is a joke compared to Rothbury.

I will provide picture evidence once I get some much needed sleep.


My favorite set of the weekend......Primus playing from 12 - 2 am (no break) right after the 4th of July fireworks.

3/4's went to play with Trey.

After Trey's set, Trey goes "We are playing at Mike's set too, go there".

Everyone walked over to the next stage and continued to enjoy 3/4 phish.

this actually looked like a cool festival until I saw the lineup....maybe they will change it up next year...can't wait for APW, we'll see how it compares to other festivals...

The headliners sucked but the rest of the lineup was insanely great. It could have been scheduled much, much better though. Snoop Dogg played in the bright daylight, WTF? Also, Primus vs. Thievery = Fail.

I just watched this and it was so lame. Sadly, I have a feeling that the superjam at the bonnaroo a few years ago with radiohead was the closest thing we will ever get to a Phish reunion.

I heard 2 confirmed deaths so far. There was A LOT more "stuff" than usual at Rothbury.

While it was obvious to watch the first Primus show in 3 years. I would have enjoyed to see thievery corporation.



I am telling you. If Rothbury puts the money into some better bands, Coachella will have to step it up.

I heard there wasn't as many drugs there as expected considering WP, STS9, 3/4 of Phish and tons of other drug bands there. Jam bands should just be renamed drug bands because that's really what they are.

Oh, I know, I'm just saying most festivals with these bands usually have even more believe it or not. All Good festival is absolutely insane with drugs. I've been to about 30 different festivals and All Good always has the most, by far.
